That's why Fury sent  your to the Stark Tower, so you could watch Bruce. He told the Avengers it was because he thought you would fit well the initiative, like Natasha and Clint. But, unlikely them, your speciality had nothing to do with fighting. Though you obviously was a good agent.

You were the best one for making people talk. The words would simply leak down their mouths before they could notice all the secrets they were telling you.

The fact that Nick Fury waived you from any other mission meant this Bruce guy was really important. By judging the damage he could do in the Hulk form, you knew it was true. The thing is... He could take care of himself. Bruce was perfectly able to control his inner monster.You weren't really necessary.

The fact that you were watching him was supposed to be a secret, but Tony hacked SHIELD's files and discovered everything. He immediately told Bruce, who got really mad at you. It ruined your disguise and made all the Avengers suspect about you.

It took a few weeks for you to gain their trust back and when you finally did, all the Avengers welcomed you with pleasure.

The avengers never accepted him, except for Thor, who still believed he could change. With time you became closer to him and that started a huge confusion in your life.
